Oil pressure 502 efi/mpi

What kind of oil pressure is acceptable for these engines? I went for my first test run and both engines were between 25 and 40 depending on hot/cold, under load or idling, and I have slightly different reading for each engine. One runs a little weak on the pressure around 25 idle 38-40 under load while the other stays around 30 idle and 40 under load. Neither dropped below 25 or went above 40....

That's about where my 502 is at.

rule of thumb is 10 lbs for every 1000 rpm, normally they should be 60 lbs at max rpm 5200,but electric guages might be off.

Those readings are pretty normal for a 502mpi. I see about 35-40 cruising, 45psi at WOT and 20-30 at idle depennding on how hard I was running. 502mpi's also use oil due to the low tension rings. Expect a qt of usage every 10-15hrs or so.
