502 EFI 1994 heavy raw fuel smell

My last two outings Ive noticed the smell of fuel getting stronger the more I used the boat. Had the blowers on 100% of the time. This last time I actually crawled on the engines with them running while searching for any leaks. None found. The top of the tank is dry and there is no noticeable fuel in the bilge. So today I pulled both throttle bodies to change out the IAC's and inside the SB motor smelled heavily of fuel. I read somewhere that the VST can leak fuel in to the #8 intake runner but its recommended to check it while the engine is running and I already pulled the upper VST off. Is there any way to bench check it to see if it is indeed my problem?

Prostock, ran into this on my 94 502. No way I know of to bench test. There is no drain on the vst tank to get the crud out. The seat on the needle valve wears down and dumps all overflow into #8. It can be very scary at wot when this event takes place. The top oring can be reused if you can pack it back in the recess in the top cap. I checked mine by blocking the overflow port on #8 and running hose of vst tank into gas can and starting it up and hoping no gas comes out. I only have a HS education but this system sucks with vapor lock and high dollar rubber parts needed to keep it going. I think I have my old tank and try to get it to you for spare parts.Pm me a phone number.
