We find that when we remove these plugs there always seems to be enough white teflon pipe dope on them for a reseal. If there is still white thread seallant on the plugs, tighten them back in nice and tight and they won't leak.

Best Regards,

Thanks raylar , also had small amount of sea water come out of lower unit pickup,(bravo-1),during coolant change out. Coolant pressure in motor while sitting cold ? Heat exchanger issue possible?,,,,,,or maybe nothing at all ,,,,,,?any idea?

Another topic,,,,,changing out sea water pump pulley ,(long story) trying to get idea on how far to drive pulley on pump shaft ,as for very hard spot in boat if pulley is not aligned correct with other pulleys after install,
( new pump -comes with no pulley)lol,so have no ref to go by.
Any help on this issue would be great!

just press it on the shaft till the pulley is flush with end of the shaft, loosely attach and check alignment with a straight edge along the front of the other pulleys, pressing the pulley this far worked perfect when i changed to the stainless pump

anything that is known to be straight will work, i used a 2 foot level on its side, though it is about an inch thick, you could also use a yard stick as long as its straight
