Nav lights... New install

I just ordered some led navigation lights from livorsi. There are no original holes. How far back should I put them from the front? It is a cat deck boat. Any drilling or cutting ideas would be great too.
Thank you all!

a google search will show correct locations as far as the red-green ones are concerned. the 360 degree white is best behind driver, or a 180 on the front somewhere where it won't mess with your night vision, and a 180 on the transom.

vessel length and use/operation help determine lighting. if your over 39ft you will use sterm 180* light, if under 39ft stern mounted 360* above any obstructions along with stbd/port bow lights. higher mounting makes it better to keep out of your vision area. running lights normally are mounted infront of control station/helm and dividing point inline with bow. perko sells stacked all-in-one light, 360* wht over 112.5*stbd/port light.

I have to cut a 1"x2" hole in the side of the boat. What is the best way to get this done in fiberglass/gel coat?

rect hole? drill 4 1/2 inch holes at corners and use sabre saw to cut between holes. you sure you need holes that big? most lights screw on surface with small holes for wires...

This is what I ordered.
