Holley 850

I have a Holley 850 model 80443 that I tried on my .100" overbore 454. It's just too much carb for it. Bought it new 2 years ago from Summit. What kind of money can I get for it? Any help?

Try advertising it on( Racingjunk.com)you dont have to be a member , I think they give you one free ad. Plus you can look and see what people are selling their 850s for. You go to I think its intakes & carbs in the catories). Good luck.

Why do you think the carb is to big? Whats going on with the motor. I have a 850 (jetted down a bit) on a 496 chevy bb and haven't had any issues. I know you can go either way with the jets 10 (80 down to 70).

X2... Nonstop nailed it, simply re-jet it. I have 70's in mine on top of a 454 roller motor, no issues here either...

I have a 850 on my 468 and it does well also. I think I put 80's in mine. Plug color looked good. Maybe I'm still rich. I haven't checked it lately. Runs great.

80's all around ? I am just tuning a 850 (used) and I am also chasing alot of tuning trouble.

I have a 1050 on my street car with a pontiac 468 and get 13mpg. Any carb can be modifed to work on any engine. They can be jetted, power valves can be changed , air bleeds can be changed as well and timing can be dialed in. It is not just a drop on and go thing.

It's been a few months, but I think it was 80's. It runs very good and doesn't have any hesitation or bogs. It's a tad rain at idle, but not enough that I've even bothered with it.
