single trim right hand trim switch
 

Looking for single trim right hand switch with diode, no diode or instructions on how to make a diade.
like these, http://www.rexmar.com/page40.htmlthey dont make anymore...or a link to who makes the similar one. Any help appreciated. I have the zero Effort twin control.
The seachosie ones, the rond butoon one, I would rather not install -had it on another boat and didnt feel right. Any ideas?

This is the one I got, easy install, cheap and looks good, if you take the round "plate" out of your throttle control this fits in perfectly, I ran the wires in plastic loom down the shaft of the throttle...........:coolcowboy:

Radio Shack sells the diodes?

Yes, cheap radio shack diodes are fine.
They are "one way valves" for electricity.
You are switching the solenoid coils which are probably 1/2 watt coils. As long as the diodes are 1/2 watt or bigger you're gold.

thanks. Im surprized no one makes these anymore, i know all shifters come with the trim switch now a days but what about us budjet minded peeps?

I ended up making my own setup using four sealed Delphi relays. It works great, and keeps everything isolated.

I bought the Diodes from Radio Shack..do they need to go one way or it dosnt matter?

Yes it matters, think of a diode as a one way valve for electricity. The gray line goes towards the side you don't want the electricity to bleed back from.
Let me know how they work. I have been to lazy to hook mine up so your the guinea pig. Lol

Yes, those will work. There's only enough current to actuate the pump relays, so just about any size relay will do the job. I don't have any experience with the diodes, but they should work fine too. Just be sure you get ones that are rated for 12V. 5v stuff won't last long.

The plates come out though?
Seems very tight and front part with red ring is rubber?
I have zero effort. Trim switch coming anyday.

Switch arrived and two wires were disconnected from board plate, bad solder...they sending new ones..I cant seem to follow the diagram though for hooking up to trim buttons. I would like this new button to bring drives all the way down and all the way up...bypassing trailer buttons as I have done with all boats. Screws are also too short too.
