Quotes on upholstery?

This fall I removed ever piece of furniture/upholstery in the cockpit area. 1994 fountain fever 32. Does anyone have an approximate cost if I build the wood/foam myself and just had the skins made? I know it's a shot in the dark but figured I'd ask.

Not sure what the total cost would be ,,but I just bought the skins for the drivers and passengers head rest ,,the sun pad 1st row section with built in head rest and the 3 piece sun pad skins for around $1500.00..
It all came from Fountain..nobody else was able to touch their price..

I paid $175/bolster, $375 for the back seat, $25 for the kick panel under back seat and $100 for the sun pad. I repaired all the wood under the foam and this was 6-7yrs ago.

Thanks, I was planning on going to fountain directly since they should have the patterns. I'm hoping to spend less then $3,000. I'll call Gail @ fountain tomm.

WOW!!! Thats pennies for all that work! I was quoted $1200 to recover two bolsters, rear seat $300, rear sunpad $650. Those prices are based on a private party doing the work (helps alot) plus me removing and reinstalling the items once the work is done. How on earth did you get someone to agree to all that work and vinyl for under $1000????

They may not have those patterns around anymore beings their almost 20 years old. I know Nordic didn't have anything around for mine. If you take the old skins to an upholstery shop they'll cut them apart and use them for patterns. Also you can get the vinyle yourself and save some time and money. Just be sure to get marine grade vinyle. Here's the place I got mine from, Naugahyde brand off the Surfside chart. It comes on 54" wide rolls so if you lay your skins all out on the ground together you can figure how much you would need off a roll. Spent around $300 on vinyle and I paid the shop around 1K for 16 pieces. I did the assembly myself. Also if you have stapleing to do be sure you use stainless steel staples. Regular steel staples will only last 1-2 years if your lucky.

I had the bucket seats, rear wraparound seat, & huge sunpad on my searay redone about 6-7yrs ago for 1000.00 & he even replaced a couple of plywood panels while he was there. I just had to deliver & pick up when done. I guess I got a pretty good deal

All mine is being redone with plastic wood. No more wood in my interior. Raises cost some. So far on avg been about 150-300 a piece depending on size and complexity.
