Well, I checked it out this weekend, found fouled plugs after only an hour or so of running. I need to rebuild my original carb, I am temporarily using a different one just to get out there if the weather allows it, but can anyone recommmend a place to get the cheapest carb kits for a rochester 4v marine carb? I have found Mikes Carb Parts anybody have other suggestions? Thanks for all the input any help is appreciated.

Try http://www.mercruiserparts.com/. Marc Berman of BAM marine runs this company and his is a great website..with diagrams and parts lists to insure you are getting exactly what you need.

Have you considered a different heat range plug? If the condition develops after you work the carburetor you might consider a plug change.

Good luck with this.
