Default GLM Bronze water pump housing

Has anyone tried a GLM 12088 Mercruiser water pump kit? I would think they would last a lot longer than the plastic merc housing.

We have very low lake levels and these brass / bronze water impeller pumps can get very scared up internally causing lowered water flow volume and or water priming issues. I would use a sea strainer also no matter which version you install. The GLM unit looks like a nice piece but we have never used one as of today.

Everyone cusses the merc plastic pos pumps .But knowing that's what is there ,we always replace housing with impellor and cut the chitty casting lines out of housing before install Never really have a problem . That being said ,that stainless one looks nice .I'd like to see some real world input on water flow and durability. It's pretty
