Trim tab lines?

My trim tabs have some squish fitting deals on them and I want to change them. Here is what they look like....

Has anyone ever used these push lock style connectors?? The same type of plastic hose pushes in and I have had good luck with these in other applications.

Never used one but they look cool. Wouldn't want to be the first guy to try one though. All the fittings that are there now you can get at Home Depot and would be easy to replace but I'm one who has moved to going with the tried and true. I have way to much wasted time in my past trying to reinvent the wheel.

What kind of pressures can they handle?

I've blown apart those ferrell connections on Bennett Tabs before. It makes quite the mess. Bennett will send you a bag of replacements for next to nothing though. I've not used the push connectors on fluids before, but those are very similar to what Mercruiser uses on the air valve actuator system of the 496/HOs

Yea looks like those fittings are only good to 300 psi. Not sure about that so maybe I'll just have real hydraulic hoses made. I'll update with what I do here.

Thanks for the reply. I got the bennett trim pump apart last night and I can remove the feruell (sic) fittings from the pump so Im thinking I'll just use hydraulic AN style and just have parker make me some little hydraulic lines like are used on the outdrive trim pump.

3/8" stainless tube is cheap. $.75/ft IIRC.
