I bought the correct bracket, but I cannot figure out how it mounts on the block!!!
Maybe the dart big M block has holes on the wrong spot or I have something missing, but I cannot figure it out!!! Thank you for any help. Larry If you have a picture you can post it here or email it to [email protected] |

Thank you the picture, but it is different. My idler pulley is above the sea water pump. That is confirmed by my shop manual and it's picture of the belt routing. I do not have a pulley below the sea water pump like in your picture. I bolted the sea water pump to the upper of the two holes on the block, the lower one is really off. In the upper hole, the top hole on the bracket, I would assume is suppose to go on a stud screwed into the head, but it just doesn't line up?
See pictures. I am at a loss. |

I think I figured it out, it would be great of someone could confirm it. The sea water pump on a stock 500efi connects to the head only on the lower 2 holes. See picture.
