MILD THUNDER 03-04-2014 07:21 PM

Check out this bad boy. ''Project Punisher"

I like the doel fin on the out drive. Pretty sweet. Also, dont mind the blowby from the valve cover, its the total seal gapless rings doing their thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84XEbisjhZM

buddy1234 03-04-2014 07:23 PM

Ya prob, but I still needed to know right combo to get most out of motor,

freebirdpa 03-04-2014 07:24 PM

Wow is right! This is too funny, how about a little respect buddy instead of spouting off, a few have given some advise but it appears you aren't really interested. This is a great site with lots of info, but as I was told a long time ago, "you will learn more if you shut your mouth and open your ears". Good luck with your project!

buddy1234 03-04-2014 07:27 PM

Whatever not site for me

masi242 03-04-2014 07:53 PM

Bye Bye Buddy it`s a good site if you just listen to what others have to say,and don`t be so thin skinned.

abmotorman 03-04-2014 07:55 PM

Sorry, not buying it. I can see a bunch of swinging dicks sitting behind a computer, laughing their ass off right now. This site needs to charge $1 to get a screen name to clean things up for a while. Just saying

if oso charged 1 dollar for a screen name dr darr would need to send about 150 bucks, lol.o,and i am laughing my azz off.it,s all about the drama.

Why bother coming here and asking for help if u are not truly interested in the responses? Many of us really benefit from the advice that we get from these experienced boaters. We dont need rookies starting pissing matches spoil itt

Mike, are you making friends again? :evilb:

I thought all the fun and drama was over on the Tech discussion board!

My guess is that the OP is in his early 20's with his first boat. There is some good info on these forums, but you have to have a sense of humor about it. Good luck with it!

Knot 4 Me 03-05-2014 03:00 PM

I hope to see this 7,500 RPM screaming Sea Ray on the river this summer! Must have strapped an old Sun tach to the steering column as I can't ever recall a Sea Ray with an 8K RPM tach! Is the boat named "Floating Lifters"?

Unlimited jd 03-05-2014 03:03 PM

Darr? Or copied his "buddy"?

Knot 4 Me 03-05-2014 03:06 PM

Not Darr.

buddy1234 03-05-2014 03:44 PM

it has a 10k tach, if u around Peoria u would have seen me, had that boat out for past several years, and your right old tach went to 6k,

Budman II 03-05-2014 05:05 PM

Must be running a nitrous cam to spin it that high. :helmet:

4bus 03-05-2014 07:34 PM

Didn't we deal with this azz wipe before under a screen name of "racer" something? The diarreah of the mouth smells familiar.

If you are going to stereotype us for having more money than brains, we are going to stereotype you right back. We know type. The only reason you have more brains than money, is because you only have 37 dollars. We learned a long time ago that the cob job approach may work in a little boat long enough for you to burn the gas money you earned collecting bottles and cans, but for us serious boaters that want reliability it so going to take the right stuff.

I went from trying to keep you on the conservative side and safe you some grief, to now wanting to watch you fail in person. Please keep us posted

Btw, the sea ray obviously has a malfunctioning tach, and no one saw u cause no one here cares about a pile of crap sea ray doing 28 mph. Head over to thehulltruth.com for help with the tach.

Unlimited jd 03-05-2014 08:12 PM

I thought this all sounded familiar but I've been doing a lot of glass work in a small garage so between resin and the bullet heater brain cells are dropping like flies!

Crude Intentions 03-05-2014 08:30 PM

All of these sound familiar. Lol

mike tkach 03-05-2014 08:51 PM

hay bugerweiser, did you not say this site is not for you?please tell us what camshaft you have in your 7,500 rpm 350.il just go ahead and say what everybody is thinking, you are a big bull sheeter but you are amusing!

HaxbySpeed 03-05-2014 10:53 PM

It probably wound the hell out of the old tach for the 6cylinder that was in the boat before... Might want to check the new tach and make sure it's set for 8cyl this time

Buddy1234 -

Didn't you beat me racing once - Bench Racing .

On a serious note, with your big block what you need to wake up that boat is a set of bleed up lifters, adjustable roller valves, peanut butter port heads (I run'm - see info under my name to left),Harley two pump carb, corvette heads, and an external cam pulley. To start with.

As you mentioned, going to a bigger outdrive always provides more speed - my experience is 10mph or faster.

Couldnt agree more on the peanut butter ports, especially at 7500RPM.

The external cam pulleys really wake it up. I have the small pulleys on mine. The cam spools up faster that way.

mike tkach 03-06-2014 08:16 PM

well i put on a bigger outdrive and i only picked up 7 mph.iffen i can finder il put r up da viv.

dereknkathy 03-07-2014 04:52 AM

7500 rpm. you didn't change tach. it is reading 33% high. also you are running 1.65 or 1.68 gears in the v6 drive so engine IS over revving, but not that much. oh, if you have 188 heads, the 454 is a 365 hp mag motor, not 330 hp standard motor. much better engine to start with. what I was saying about the raven hull, is, spend what you like in time-energy on motor-drive, the boat will go fast and look good. I woulda bought it for 500 in a heartbeat if it fell in my lap. but be on lookout for a better hull to repower with that package in the future. you obviously know how to buy right. a 22 velocity, a Baja hammer, any 24-7 hull. and not even talking resale value, boats aren't worth the cost of building anymore. just a hull that will hold up to the pounding a boat gets when driven hard. good luck.
