Removing outdrive if I have a 12" extension box

Could someone tell me how to remove my shaft from my extension box I broke my U joints so I have taken the drive off but can not figure out how to get the shaft out of the extension box

sorry should have said it is a 29' Baja outlaw single engine 525 sc mercruiser engine with a bravo 2 outdrive and I believe it is a mercruiser extension box

is the box a standard box or -1,2,3?

not really sure it came on it as an option in 1997 I do believe but not even positive about that the prior owner may have had it put on. It says IMCO torsion drive shaft on it if that helps any

you mignt have gottin off easy,,try and remove it like a regular bravo,,the input shaft in longer,,you should also check the bearings in the gimbal and box if their is one..if you have -1,2 or 3 then it get tricky but if t slides off easy then its zero..if you btoke the input shaft those are pricy,,like 800 bucks..might also want to send the shaft out to have it ballanced which make it last for years but you should stil take the covers off every 15 hours and grease the ujoints..

If it's an imco shaft just pull it. It just slides into the coupler. And I'd be pretty sure you have a bravo 1 not a bravo 2

http://www.dynotechengineering.com/ oops if its a ujoint that is by the flywheel its easier to pull the engine to service that one unless you can get the carrior out and monkey phuck with it..

Well it definitely doesn't just slide out and it is not rusted to the gimbal so I guess I am going to have to take the extension box apart to figure it out

looked inside the extension box and it looks like a shaft just going strait into another coupler at the back of boat and it moves freely with the little bit of play it has so I don't believe it is stuck who knows probably some little trick or something I am missing
