LOL you and I both!

I run the amsoil severe gear 75-110 in my teague platinum xr. it's what teague recommends and what shipped w/ the drive when i got it new.

I called Amsoil and the tech I talked to actually recommended the Severe Gear 75-110 for my Bravo. Worked great right up to the point the teeth broke off all the gears. As far as it breaking down, the oil coming out was the same as the oil going in with just a tinge of gray. That is until I melted the drive, then it was this really foul smelling dark gray metallic color.

I realize most of us could care less about that, however it doesn't pacify the marine requirements, so you will only get verbal blessings from Amsoil regarding severe gear in a bravo. |
Success using 75-90 severe gear have tried 75-110 can not tell a difference.
Drain drive overnight Trim drive up throughout the next day Trim drive down and drain another night Remove reservoir to brake clean and dry with blow gun Fill from bottom up using 5 gallon pale and pale pump all the way to the low fill line on the reservoir. Top off as needed. Repeat every season or sooner if driven harder or above 470hp |
