valve retainer to seal clearance-thinner seals?

so, without any seals i have .750 of valve travel. with OE umbrellas i have .580 of travel. i would like to get 550 lift. is there an umbrella seal with a thinner roof to get more clearance without machining guides? 3/8ths stems. oval port.

ordered a set of comp cams seals. should be in today. will report back with diff in thickness to OEM. i am sure quite a few of us want to go from 480 to 530-560 or so lift and it would be nice to be ok without needing machine work...

Come on Mike.. why would you post crap like that? Someone on here might think its ok and actually do it. Your not letting Alex get to you.. are you?

usually only on the exhaust,,and when the guides are extra high or the springs have the damper in them.also, the valves will get the little o-ring that goes in the second groove of the valve stem.

When I raced circle track in the 1990's , It was pretty common not to run ANY seals . Different schools of thought , trends , ect.
