Bbc Distributor advance set up

I need some advice , I am changing over my 454's to Marine HEI Distributors, I want to set the advance curve in the dist. Before installing them. 468 hyd. roller cams ,performer intakes 9.0 compression big heavy boat max RPM around 5K engines are built for torque its just a cruiser not a go fast. Im thinking 32 to 34 degrees max and full advance in by 3200 rpms .

I run HEI's, love them, I use std HP ones and remove the vac advance(use the block off kit) yours may already be deleted if marine, that will give you more initial and 32-34 full should be fine

Do you use the stock advance setup or did you have them setup on a machine ?
