Play in steering actuator?

I recently installed a new style steering actuator and hoses part number 8M0063381 and the tube that the steering came threads onto moves side to side about 1/8"-3/16" can someone please tell me if this is normal or is it wrong can it be tightened?

not sure where you mean where the play is ? there will be some when not running as the P/S system pressure tightens it up

I have a video of it just not sure how to get it on here so you can see. Do you know how? Thanks

That tube that the cable theads onto and goes through is the valve? The hoses go in right above it.

I have that same slack in mine. It has external steering and cable from the helm to the actuator with a Brazil valve. I thought it was normal but does create slop at the wheel which I understood could only be fixed with full hydraulic steering. I would love to know if there is a fix as well.

Thanks for the help. Bottom line is hyd assist with fix slop but the play is nothing to worry about?

I was told only full hydraulic without a cable helm would fix it. Not sure if that is 100% true or not.
