Weren't there rumors of Chinese made knockoff Morel lifters making the rounds a while back? Sonic30, any chance these are what ended up in the motor? If someone has found a set that are definitely knockoffs, it would be good to have some pictures of them so we would know what to look out for.

I don't know if he was right or wrong, but I'd consider the source (not trustworthy) and do some homework on that first. And BTW: he has supplied Chinese companies with parts, and sold their parts, so don't buy into his American Pride. |
If they are labeled PBM, have the .750 fork style lifter wheel, i think its a pretty safe bet, they are morels. Morel made 3 versions. The street lifter, with an encapsulated .700 wheel, a race version with 8620 .750 tool steel body, and Hi-RPM version with 8620 .750 tool steel body.

MT - I believe the street lifter has a cast body. I'll try to find that info .

Doesn't the street lifter have the smaller wheel that is enclosed by the lifter body?
oops - never mind - went back and looked at MT's earlier post. |
