what is the best way to tune air fuel mixture other than a dyno the old pull a spark plug or are there any economical testers available?

lots of affordable wideband meters out there today.they really help with the tuneup.

can only speak for the innovate lm1 and lm2 duel channel,they have severed me well in tuning everything from turbo hondas to twin whipple behemoths.very accurate for a hand held.
hoping some day they'll produce a 4 channel hand held.hate holding everything down in the back seat of a speeding boat.:Dit is fun watching my toughbook start to float.

thanks for the advise do seems with these you must have a bung for the o2 sensor I have dry pipes have you seen any that can be inserted into the ends of the pipes?

innovate makes an o2 sensor holder,but I feel you will not get decent readings till your moving alot of exhaust past it.split overlap w/ draw fresh air back in and skew the idle mixture readings.happens alot on the race engines that have the sensor close to the end of the collector pipe/atmosphere.
