Proper way to install an air scoop???
 

I have never owned a boat with a scoop on the hatch, and I guess I have never paid attention to how they are installed. I am talking about a vinyl covered engine hatch here. Is the scoop attached to the hatch and then the vinyl laid over the mounting flange, or is the scoop mounted over the top of the vinyl?

The need to be mounted to the hatch and then the pad and vinyl laid around them

I bought a 28' cat to leave here in Newburgh. Needs a much bigger blower to run you down on the river.
