port steering and a Merc shift interrupter plate

Anyone have to deal with port steering and a Merc shift interrupter plate?
Looks to be set up for starboard steering and the shift cable has to come in on that side. Do they make plates for port steering or do I just need a longer cable so I can wrap it back around from the port to the starboard side?

Ayuh,.... How ya doin' f_in',..?? Long time, no chat,....

I've never seen a port-side steerin' system for a Merc,...

As for the shift cable plate, it can be moved/ mounted, where ever the 2 cables will reach,....

Hey Bondo, Never thought about that. Got hung up on it being mounted the way it was and never thought about just unbolting it and flipping it around.
Thanks

My 277 regal had the steering on the port side cable just passed by the stbd side and attached to the port inner transom plate like it would have on a single or the stbd side: that boat had a pretty wide center to center dimension though. I can get a measurement if you need it.
