Ignition Box
 

I am running Crane ignition box part #0006000-6462. Pretty certain this is discontinued and would like to ask if anyone knows the specifics of the box I am running and if there is a newer crane box that I could "plug and play" with my current setup...HP500 Merc carb motor

FAST has taken over Crane's ignition line.
You may want to contact them.
You will probably end up with a Daytona Sensors CD-1 marine box.

Is fast actually comp cam? I like that crane 6462. To bad there still not available but ya seems as though the daytonas are capturing the market.

Switch to Daytona Sensors and realize what you have been missing all this time!

That Crane box was made by Daytona Sensors. It's a good unit.. You can't just swap it with another Crane box (which are ALL now discontinued as F.A.S.T. has bought the product line) as the timing IS controlled by the box and NOT your distributor..

So, your choices are.. Go to the new Daytona Sensors box... OR change out your distributor & the ignition box.... OR just leave well enough alone.. :)
