turning 6.2 FI into a carbed motor...easy??

How easy would it be to turn a 6.2 FI motor into a simplified Carb motor? Doing this while keeping motor in the boat would also be ideal. What do you think?

What is the goal here? Why convert a perfectly good EFI system to carb on a stock motor? Upgrades planned or having issues?

Just curious as to how easy it is...thats all. If I did do it, then it would be to mod the motor

It's pretty much cake if you are a performance person. Most of the normal stuff applies. Lose the efi, get a carb, intake and distributor setup. In fact Mercruiser distributors work with some other ignitions too. it does make mods less troublesome.
My 383 intake, ignition and drivetrain came from a 350 mag carb engine. It had the 350 carburetor on it last year. I worked with jetting it up, but it wasn't pulling enough at higher rpm so I went to an aftermarket carb this year.

If you really want to mod it you'll want to understand marine cams and exhaust reversion. Big cams require performance (valuable) exhaust to avoid reversion.
It's a fun but slippery slope. Get out your wallet!
