put your hand on that solenoid. Have somebody hit key. Feel it click? But engine didn't crank. Jump across those 2 big terminals. Hear starter crank? You just tested it now you know solenoid is bad.

Thanks, Tried what you said, the slave solenoid clicked. Have one on order, just waiting for it to arrive and will check it out. Thanks again. I am also looking for a screw that came off my alpha drive , which is part of the Continuity kit. Do I have to buy the whole kit , or can i just get the screw. Thanks

No. They are stainless steel screws. Pull one the same size to get thread size and whether fine or coarse thread. Take it to a hardware store.

Thanks, It was the Slave solenoid. I appreciate the help. Will try the hardware store for the screw on the drive for continuity. On a lighter note, how do i post a picture of my boat with the profile. Thanks.
