bplace to mount oil temp gauge sending unit?
Where would be the best including simple place to mount sending unit for the oil temp gauge on a 6.2 Mercruiser? Trying to keep it simple as in not drilling into pan or anything but in a spot that will read it ok.

Could I put a T where the oil pressure gauge is?
better down in oil flow. once it is in pressure sender pipe, it is kind of stagnant and I don't think give you a good temp reading. here. https://www.google.com/search?q=350+...=1498870089640

I mounted mine in the remote oil filter housing in the alternate input port.

Can't find any other ports on my remote oil filter adapter.
Then put it in the block just above oil filter. See pic from post 3.
That is where my oil pressure sending unit is at. I thought there were other locations on the block where this could be added for some reason. Might wait till next oil change to add it and put it in drain plug hole in pan.
Wouldn't you want it located near the hottest point with constant flow?
Same picture up top behind intake manifold. That is oil pressure sensor. Relocate pressure sensor there and temp down low above filter.
That sounds like a good idea. Just might need to relocate some of the Merc wiring and such as that area is jam packed at the moment.
So now I check that location a little more detailed to see if I can get in there with the pressure sensor. What I found was in the bunch of wires, coil and other things in the location is that theres a blue wire hooked to a sensor in that port. So I need to know what its for and what I can do about it. Anyone know? Is that possibly for the low oil pressure alarm??

If its a Dark Blue wire then its the analog oil pressure sender wire

Can I put a t in this location and put that along with the oil temp gauge and everything work fine?
