525 cam install. sleeper motor
Need help
. I have a buddy that wants to install.a.crane 525 efi cam into his 502 efi. 1. can it be installed.straight up or does it have to be degreed? 2. What base timing should it be set to? he is running a short runner intake and stock fuel system with pressure regulator at 41# sleeper motor |
With a 525 cam it won't be much of a sleeper. Those cams sound damn good

every cam should be degree checked .
|
Plus it needs an exhaust upgrade and valve train work to run that cam or engine will revert water and sleep with the fishes...

Is the built-in advance an attempt to compensate for chain stretch?
|
Nope. It's built in assuming everything is as it should be.
|
Always wondered. Since it seems they stretch quick and then stay that way a long time.

Stainless or emi exhaust with stainless risers and 330cc heads
