Heat exchanger

Im presently setting up 21' (tailored) ski boat running 502 BBC, intercooler, twin turbo
Have acquired 7.4 mercruiser heat exchanger, need to plumb up in boat, haven't a lot of room as you guys with 32' plus boats

Need some recommendations on:
1. water pickup (1 or 2) either through hull clam shell, or transom (have no holes in boat at present), what size was thinking 1.25" dia
2. using a seacock, shut off valve
3. whether should be using sea strainer, Forspar (looks to be plastic), or a stainless steel strainer (eg Gil, Hardin)
4. do you run separate sea strainer for the intercooler, therefore need 2 external pickups
5. Plumbing guide

if anyone has some pictures of setup what be fantastic
cheers
Brett
