I'd look more along the line of the crane 651 cam or custom ground for your specific needs. Not much difference in price.

I’m curious to see someone try the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT back to back with the stock Intake. Or even a real TR with top mount throttle bodies.

Im concerned about the long intake runners of tunnel ram intakes. Now I'm thinking of using a holley EFI Intake with a 2000cfm throttle body.
Refering to my Dyno-Simulation-Tool the 540 engine with AFR 325cc rect. port heads, 525 EFI Cam, Holley EFI Intake and 2000cfm throttle body the engine will make about 657 hp at 5500 RPM.
I'm not sure about precise the results from my dyno-simulation are.

Concerned for performance or clearance? They aren’t nearly as long as the stock intake I’m sure, which is good.

My Holley efi 540 with hand ported afr 305 heads and 2000cfm throttle body made 713hp on the dyno. I made over 650hp on the same 540 with a stock 500 efi intake and mefi 3 0n the previous build. Your hp numbers are low. Jeff wurl

Concerned for performance when using the stock intake with the long runners. Refering to my desktop dyno software the holley intake manifold will produce way more power than the stock intake.

Which type of cam are you using? If you give me your cam-specs I can compare them to the current cam.

yes it will, and a proper TR will beat any single plane 4bbl design too.
