lightnings are awesome. I remember back in 93 when I bought two sets direct for BBC's 1150.00 a set. Those days are gone but they are a great header and have a sound of their own. Wish I had the video yet from going through the north channel up in Canada going through the canyon back to the pool (the end) Kinda like a mini Grand Canyon. What a beautiful trip that was.

I don't know of any marine SBC header that won't break the bank. On top of that I have never seen an independent before / after test of performance improvements in a SBC marine application. I would be extremely hesitant about purchasing headers for a marine SBC. I believe the gains are minimal to non-existent, especially with the price factored in.

Hardin makes a SBC manifold with individual runners inside of the manifold and they aren't too expensive.

I have a GLM variant of this exhaust. Made ZIP / ZERO difference in performance. No extra rpm, no extra mph etc.

Ryan00TJ 04-24-2018 05:27 PM

GLM aluminum manifolds and Imco long dry to transom risers supported my old 383 to 475hp and 80.5 GPS speeds.

sierra sells a semi-tuned cast iron manifold, about same price as regular,

Sonic30ss 05-10-2018 09:17 PM

GLM with 4" Imco risers is a good low cost option

I have a set of SBC Glenwood aluminum manifolds with Imco 4" risers that have the longer tails if your still interested. They also come with studs to mount the manifolds to the block so you don't have to use the bolts, but I also have the bolts. Also comes with the plate to mount the shifter/throttle bracket. Let me know.
