Through prop exhaust, coupled with poor manifolds are going to be a real restriction.

Yes the new B1 4 blade is more aggressive, and keeping the RPM down, but with a good tuned manifold feeding through hull, may get the engine output over the 'hump', and perform well.

I agree, the smaller prop. That will give more data. Where does the smaller prop max out at with the new engine?

She little dirt but cleans up nicely

i’ll try that over the weekend.......but what I think it is exhaust is cutting it back. Going to put through transom exhausted this week. and also if I could find some used headers try to0

trying to get the thing to at least 450hp 450tq

what do you guys think about port matching the stock exhaust manifold to the AFR heads ? Exhaust ports are about a 1 3/8 and the stock exhaust manifolds are about 11/4inch

If you leave the lower portion of the exhaust manifold larger, you get a lip formed, where the head exh outlet is smaller.

This acts as an anti reversion system. (Air) It also would likely trap some water a little, before it overflows and gets into the cylinder.
