https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...e1f15be9db.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...77c0339d06.jpg hello boaters.. well to end this post..lastest issue. per my shop dymanic speed marine, ron suggested we cut filter open to check for metal. glad i did, as i we found metal in the motor with the low oil pressure. so , pulled both motor and in the sb engine , photos show the wind-age tray , some got messed up. may have got pushed into the valley when in put on intake. but lucky i found issue before it really did serious damage. bearing and crank look fine.. just need to boil block clean everything real good and reassemble motor. |
oh ,,and took off port engine intake ,,,windage tray looks fine...
i was told the isky red ball series roller lifter , are a tall lifter. |
Many people unsuspectingly re-install the windsge tray with the tall retrofit lifters. Big no no. The trey either needs to be modified or someone once said they sell treys with more clearance. On our motors we completely took them out. Good luck with the motors. |
well final final post on this thread,
after taking sb motor apart to boil block , glass bead pistons , put in new rings and bearings, my engine builder say to me , i didnt pay attention to how i was SUPPOSE to mix the main bearings one set is or was standard size , other a thou under, so i was suppose mix the bearing but i didnt , so motor with lower oil pressure had 4 thou on mains other motor had 3 thou but now redoing both motors , and correct bearing mix i will have 3.5 thou clearance. again thanls for comments.... mery christmas !!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy holidays |
