Dan

so at sea strainer the pressure will be greater depending on speed and if there is blockage ?

do you know what pressure the relief valve is set to bleeding off at strainer ?

I was thinking of putting pressure relief valve either
1. T in-line from strainer to pump
2. In line between pump and first heat exchanger (engine oil)

anyone has opinion??

1. T in-line from strainer to pump YES, as Dan stated above

Water pick up update:

have relocated the water pickup hose coming into side of sea strainer now upgraded to 1.25" hose
managed to move sea strainer down 3" and back 2"
plumbed 1.25" fittings to route water out of bottom of sea strainer, and T off one of the fitting by welded 1/2" NPT fitting into line, will put the 1/2" adjustable relief valve in here and route to outside of boat above water line

Plumbed up P/S and Engine HX
Just need to mount the Jabsco crank and route the 1" hoses either side of the sea pump to sea strainer and into bottom HX
Then need to think about where to mount the mercruiser closed water HX and connect up the hose from top HX

P/S and Engine HX

Sea strainer plumbed in

That Jabsco pump should have 1.25 hose barbs on it you should feed the engine with the 1.25 hose also. Regards Dan
