Eagle will have instructions in the box for proper torque and stretch. I would use the stretch gauge method. |
I think my rods are lil overkill for my compo so the 8740 bolts could work, but i might upgrade my heads and cam in the future.
-Arp-2000 bolts, part number arp-20000 -Arp-8740 bolts, part number arp-12000 |

If you haven't already purchased the rods, the ARP2000 rod bolts should be an option. This is the part number for the rod with ARP2000 bolts included: CRS6385D2000.

l19 is a stronger bolt than arp2000.

SADI cam core. I am not an expert, but i think the reason for two different intake lobes can be found from head flow numbers i posted before.

l19 bolts and a $700cam for a 400hp motor .
I don`t even have that in my 1000hp motors .. who the hell is picking these parts? |
janiH.the clamping load differs from different bolts, keep in mind that the big end of the rod gets honed to size with the bolt torqued to spec,if you remove the L19 bolt and install an 8740 or a arp 2000 bolt the big end bore will no longer be round.you don,t want that do you?
