They offer a 280HR Magnum,yes. Single pattern also. 224 at .050", .566" lift, 110LSA
11-430-8 - Magnum? Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshafts

======================

Anyway - he has no idea hat he has. Quote: "Supposedly has a 280 comp cam in it"
So, we can't make any assumptions.

This was with a mercruiser dual plane intake. This is definitely apples and oranges when talking about your 454 Skirby. Just food for thought. SB: Did they offer this in a roller?
Try a 750 and see if you can pick up another 150. On the street might work well but BBC marine engines love air. But try it any way. Lol....

We actually did try a 750 and had mixed results. The Trottle response and time to plane were much improved. The wide open throttle peak rpm was the same as the 850: (4900 rpm) The 800 had best overall performance from idle to 5050-5100 rpm. If you were going to use the boat to pull wake boarders, the 750 would be the way to go on a 502.

454 with Holley 800 here, pulls good, strong and smooth at all rpm's-dual plane air gap from Hardin. AFR stays about 12.4-12.6 all rpms (except idle which indicates richer). Runs out of steam at 5200 rpm but I am suspecting it actually needs more air. I am putting more vents in the bilge this year to verify.
Go buy the dial indicator set Rosco mentioned from Summitt and solve the cam identification you started the thread with, or go buy a cam and install it.

Thank you everyone for all the advise. I used a camera yesterday and determined it’s a hydraulic cam. Also has Forged Trw pistons and bored .060 over. At this point I think I’m going to just take the cam out to see what it is. Figure it won’t hurt to re gasket it. At least this way I’ll know what I have

Hi everyone. Finally had some time to pull the cam today. It is stamped 11-560-4 which comes up as a comp cams nitrous H.P. cam with 268 duration with a lobe separation of 113. Intake centerline of 108 degrees with a valve lift of .515 intake and .547 exhaust. Does anyone know from these numbers if I should be concerned about reversion. I’ve been researching reversion and cam specs but don’t fully have my head wrapped around it yet. Thanks in advance

I’m no engine builder but it seems like that cam is leaving a bit of power on the table? What heads are on it?
