500 EFI T-stat Housing Assembly?
Upgrading my 500 MPI's to 500 EFI's.
Trying to figure out ho9w the 500 Efi t-stat housing is supposed to be setup? I didn't have one to reference, as everything was in pieces. The service manual shows it 2 different ways ( whoever wrote the service manual was held asleep - never accounted for a lot of the changes from an MPI to Merc Racing setup). Anyway, my thought is: 1) the round grounding gasket is on the intake. 2) Manifold Casting next 3) brass insert into the top of the casting 4) cork gasket 5) T-stat - spring down? 6) gasket with bypass notch? 7) Y cap |
