Handy nut/washer retriever.

It’s a pain to reach anything in my bilge so I started thinking... I taped a stick to the end of my mini shop vac hose.

I actually keep one of those grabbers in the bilge at all times. They're awesome. Also keep a beefier 2 fingered version in the bilge to recover heavier items like large wrenches and occasionally the smaller grabber. They used to be called mechanical fingers.

I will buy one of those!
I couldn’t see where I dropped my items so that’s why I used the vac.

Not for my brass block plug and billet aluminum accent washer.
I apologize if you didn’t find my post helpful for your personal use. I’ll take that into consideration next time.

I used the footy from one of my wife's old pair of hosiery and slipped it over the end of the vacuum hose and taped it in place on my shop vac so that the vacuum grabbed the bolt and the thin piece of hosiery captured the bolt from going into the Shop-Vac.
