White Touch up Paint

Hey Guys,

I purchased a 2001 Baja Outlaw 25 SST back in early February, which is actually “Phil R’ Up” if any knows that boat on OSO.

The boat is pretty prestine for an 01 but I am sorta picky about detailing. Do anyone have any suggestions on what kind of white touch up paint I can buy for this? Just have one small chip in the stern of the boat as well as on the windscreen from the cover rubbing on it while trailering.

Thanks!

I think I used a white paint marker to touch up the painted portion of the windscreen on my 25. Other option is to remove all the paint and repaint it all together. The chip in the stern is most likely gel coat. A good boat repair shop should be able to mix up some gel to match and fill the chip.

Ice White is the Spectrum gel coat used on the Baja 25 Outlaws. Spectrum makes a patch paste kit that is around $20 and works very well for touching up small places.

Thank Bencini and IGetWet.

I think I’ll go ahead and purchase the spectrum paint. That sounds legit. There’s literally one knick on the entire boat, thanks to the previous owner “Phil R Up” for keeping the boat unimaginablely pristine.

Let us know how it works, im struggling with finding matching gelcoat. I'm looking at the rayplex system as the " custom matched gelcoat i had made didn't quite work out.

Yeah I will let you know how it works out Carnutsx2x.
I did some research on it this morning, it sounds pretty legit.

Cool , im also looking at the rayplex system. Basically they send you a bunch of white paint chips and the color formula to make each tint to account to fading and such .

That’s not a bad idea actually. How much does that run? That’s probably the sure way to do it.

Thanks man. I’m going to give it a try as well.
Looks like the kit has red, yellow, and blue to mix and match your specific white gel coat color, great stuff. Good reviews as well.
