The box is for a turbocharged blow-thru application,.... So, if you don't have forced induction, you don't need the box,.... |

I'd check the list number again on the choke horn. On marine carbs it will be that 5 digit number but you must be a digit off cause that number doesnt exist.

That looks like its a carb off of an HP500. 800cfm 9022 carb

502 cheavy all stock.with a m-1 procharger kit.. Does that fuel pump generate enough pressure to be used under boost conditions |

At 5lbs of boost you are only going to have 4lbs of fuel pressure
|
When using a mechanical pump, it can be boost referenced (increase fuel psi 1psi per 1psi boost) by connecting pump’s vent nipple to boost source ie: the box.
Now, if volume is enough from the pump, that’s another area to figure out/find out. |

Some peep’s run your system. Just ran into this post:
https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/...ml#post4835392 I’d check to see what carb # and how it is jetted/tuned/fuel pump used etc/etc. Always good to ask those who have done the same you are going to embark on. |

I have a complete spare box if you need one. Best carb for that app would be a holley 750. Fuel pump needs to be able to make 6 lbs at idle and 11 lbs when full throttle if making. 5 lbs boost..
|
No telling what that carburetor is. The 80486 doesn’t match anything via search through Holley list numbers. 80486 does come back as a classic series 950 but those carbs have contoured bodies with no choke tower. The baseplate also has a vacuum port for non-ported vacuum advance… should not be there on a marine carb so the baseplate has been changed/bowl vent tubes changed. Who really knows??
Can you get a picture of the baseplate with the numbers on the butterflies? |
