New flooring for 28 pantera question
1996 Pantera 28.
Ok so I want to take up the old yellowed coin floor and install a new floor. What are the best options? I was thinking: option 1, install new coin floor Option 2, install woven vinyl flooring option 3, if possible and depending on what is under the coin floor, refinish in gel coat and install marine deck foam. Option 4, leave it alone and just replace the carpet that’s just layed in with a snap down. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of what’s under the coin floor? Plywood? Fiberglass? Appreciate any insight I can get. Bonus points for someone who has already done this. Thanks. |

Do you know what’s under the coin floor?

I had them install it over the Lonseal coin flooring. Marine Mat is snap in.

Clean with a little bleach. Should restore the white color.

Padraig I’ve tried cleaning with everything. Nothing makes it white again. It’s dingy yellow |
There’s nothing you can do when it gets yellow like that.

Sorry...have used bleach on mine but was more dingy than yellow.
Just put Marine Mat on Mt swim platform...looks good installation went well. Padraig |

Just put Marine Mat on Mt swim platform...looks good installation went well. Padraig tried the marine mate thing and either the installer sucked or it just won’t work. You could see the nasty coin floor on the edges since the marine mat didn’t cover completely. It was so bad I told him to rip it out. And this was laser measured by a supposed pro. |
