Kiekhaefer seal
 

I have Kiekhaefer pumps for my tabs with the older style canister that has the bolt and o-ring on the underside to seal it. I ran across the replacement bolt/seal a few months back, but can't find them now. I've spent the last two hours and coming up short. Anyone have a link they can share?

That is the exact one - I appreciate you tracking it down. I spent incredibly too long looking into this today, but I'm going to swap out that canister design for the newer style reservoir: *NEW OEM* 0770 Mercury Quicksilver Reservoir Kit 883166A2 | eBayo

It seems this style would be less likely to leak, not having to rely 100% on that bottom seal.

I have replace plenty of the plastic ones, never the steel canister ones. once you put a new seal on the bottom and the o-ring it is likely good for another 20 years. the plastic ones warp over time and develop cracks around the thru bolt that comes in from the bottom to hold it on.

The light bulb should’ve went off when I said “new style”. To your point, they weren’t even leaking but I pulled them off to drain fluid, just didn’t want to put them back in with the old seals - who knows how old.

I just cancelled the order and will try to get those seals on order tomorrow.

Probably saved me $80 bucks and the headache of messing with them again in 4-5 years. Appreciate it!
