Homemade swim step 280 K plane
good morning, gentlemen.
happy Father’s Day to those who are. someone was asking about swim step ideas. here’s what I did on my 24-7 Pantera. its .250” 6061 plate stock. I drilled and tapped four 1/4-20 holes in the edge of the K plane. this is sturdy, doesn’t affect the running surface of the K plane and is inexpensive. Anyhow, hope this helps another boater that lies to swim, but doesn’t want to muddy up the stern with a giant swim platform. That is awesome! Only suggestion is to countersink panhead screws and stick a piece of seadek on there for grip

That's actually a great idea. I may have to implement that on my boat. :)

My toes grip the k-plane without the need for a plate.. just saying.
Keep in mind that cylinder can be affected by downforce and cause the foil to slip down. |
