My main question is what cam would be a good cam? really would like to get to mid 650hp. boat is 7200 lbs. I plan on upgrading the manifold to a holley and going with holley efi. Thanks in advance

I had the same engine and was a little north of 1000 hours when I decided to rebuild and upgrade. I went the carbed 540 route. Dart 335 heads , re-used my closed cooling. Stainless Gen 3 exhaust with 4 1/2 pipes , Daytona ignition box. Couldn’t be happier. I’ve got a lighter boat than you so a different cam may be better for your application. I have a B1x upper and a minus 2 imco lower. With this power curve I’m not putting a lot of stress on the drive at cruise speed and 3400 puts me at 52 mph.
