HP500 Carb Flame Arrestor Fuel Vent

Does anyone have a solution for repair of a broken fuel vent fitting on HP500 Flame Arrestor? This is where the fuel pump vent/check valve clear hose attaches to. Mine has broken off flush. I have not found a replacement part and looking for a solution.

That hose is in case your fuel pump diaphram goes bad and it will send the excess fuel into the carb instead of the bilge.
You could probably drill it out and epoxy or weld in a new fitting.

Somethibg to think about, You could drill a hole in base and insert this fuel tank stem and grommet. I believe the vent is 1/4” line.

You push in grommet and fitting from outside, therefore nothing to loosen and fall in carb.

I have drilled and threaded in 1/8” barb threaded fittings into bases (K&N does not have a good solution on their arrestors) before but would probably do above if have to again.

I'm fully aware of it's purpose, just hoping someone has experienced the same problem and has a decent solution. The fitting SB has shared could work, just run fuel hose directly to carb from new fitting. The original is spot welded, JB Weld scares me. If anything fell apart, that **** is going into the intake and engine.

Wouldn't modifying the FA be a possible USCG Approval problem? Not that they look that close, but possibly?
