lambogini engines in a 35ft cig?

Im new here, dont blow me up, but Im on a pretty basic budget and trying to repower a 94' 35 ft cigarette. Its sat for 12 years, doesnt gotta run tomorrow. It has worn out merc 502s now, both shot, one locked up. just sat too long and was fresh water but didnt get flushed like it should have. It seems like marine engines are nuts now, hell i didnt pay the cost of what im seeing at merc for new engines for the whole damn boat 25 yrs ago. Brings me here. I found a site in south florida (im in AZ), but they are selling it appears lambogini v10 engines that are 600 horses each for 40k installed. I think installed its not exactly clear. anyways, its each. Anyone do this deal with them or finance with them? www.palmbeachoffshore.com. Googleing the name there was a company thats pretty close to this name a few years ago that screwed a bunch of people rin there area but i think its different than this co. Name is close so i am wondering what people know before i reach out. They are offering financing w 50% down. I can pull this off if legit. Next thing, it looks like my boat is only worth 30-45k and wondering if its even worth considering or try and get into something newer. Also, on a 35ft cafe racer, is 600 horses reasonable or should i be looking more/less? The attraction of the lam engines has me thinking. Cool factor? Surely someone has done this here for insite. Anyone have a solid set of standard engines like drop in for my boat? I dont know if the origs has any overhaul value or even if possible sitting so long. Advice?

A few thoughts, from a previous 35' Cafe Racer owner.

650hp per side got me just barely to 71mph. These are heavy boats. If you're looking for a lot of speed, maybe selling and looking for a lighter faster hull may be a better use of your money.

I can't imagine a pair of Lambo motors will be any more reliable than a BBC in a marine application. And, due to the need for lots of torque to get a heavy boat moving, I don't think a high-strung exotic motor is likely to be a good match.

I sold my Cafe after having said 650hp motors built for it... In hindsight, I should have just dropped a pair of 496s in it and been content with low 60s.

I wondered about the horsepower. Where does hp need to be for 75-80mph or more importantly to me really, getting up on plane with 3 passengers? Those fellas have bigger versions on there site, but out of my price range i think. the financing was what was attractive to me and warranty. I grew up with audi's and like the german idea, or maybe they are italian still, hell I dont know. You think 800hp cut it since you had one? Those lams torque numbers were pretty much right on figure with what im seeing in BBC engines i think but the weight was a lot less. Like 500lb or something. Im wondering if the lower weight between both would change the hp needed? Its like 1000lbs less im thinking compared to mine now. I know i pile 3 passengers - and lets face it, we like our sunday beer so no lightweights here, im telling you what with the 502's it barely comes out of the water but solo with just me, it scoots. So with like 1000lbs less total, does that mean i can get away with less hp? thats like cutting my 3 pass out right? sorry all the questions. Not many ppl had these boats i can find.

Ill post some pics today, but whats an out of commission but VERY solid and clean paint and 2014 interior cafe good for $$$ now days with known bad engines? can i get 30? playing with numbers to see if can swap it out or if i need to fix or what.

If you like the boat, and your goal is to be able to get on plane with a full load, you don't need mega exotic horsepower to do it. I assure you that with the correct props, even the old Merc "330" 454 ci engines would get that boat on plane with a full load of people... assuming there's no "hidden" weight on board, like lots of water somewhere in the hull.

A pair of stock 502 MPIs or 496 HOs would provide drop-in installation, no custom fab work, and should provide years of reliable service.

Even if you could get these Lambo motors put in for a "reasonable" cost, who's going to handle the upkeep? You think it's hard to get people to work on I/O boats already, wait till you call and tell them you got some I-talian jobs in your 35 year old Cig. Better open that wallet wide!

what should a guy be paying for a rebuilt set? Ive been away from this for a decade and just now getting back in. And I love the boat but trying to afford and play both...

You said you have a basic budget? Lambo motors are not budget. Also, Lamborghini marine only made V12's. Are these V10's out of their road cars? Have they been marinized? Out drives? Gauges? Rewire everything...

Rebuild the 502"s and go boating.

im not sure much on the lam motors how or process or even what they are. I just came across on their site. I got a quote of more than 65k to rebuild both of mine in it now and it just seems crazy. I will have to look around. I was just looking at options and wondered whats out there. Also got told that it will be 6 or 7 months before HMS could get to it.
