38 zx insurance
I'm looking at a 2000 38 zx with merc. 600sc's and was quoted over $4800.00 on insurance!!
Is that about right?? What is everyone else paying??? (You don't have to tell me the exact # but and idea would be great!) |
Re: 38 zx insurance
Over $3,000.00 for a 2005 Formula 382 with 525's. No limitations on trailering. (Progressive)

Re: 38 zx insurance
2001 33ZX 500 EFI's $940.00 a year ($2500.00 deductible) through American National. This was far less expensive than any other place I checked. Yes they do know the boat runs in excess of 75 mph. Hope this helps.

Re: 38 zx insurance
Rick,
Do you have a number for American National? I'm paying $1900 for the exact same boat with another company. Thanks. |
Re: 38 zx insurance
All I have is a number for my Local Agent 515-292-1900 they may be able to send you in the right direction. Good luck, Rick

Re: 38 zx insurance
I pay about $3,900.00 a year for a 33zx with 500efi with worldwide marine insurance, but they where the only people that would write me @ 21 with a $1,000.00 deductible. So i'm sure they can help you.

Re: 38 zx insurance
No, this was the first place I checked because I have my insurance with them now. I will try total Dollar and the others mentioned. Maybe the 600sc's are blowing the top off the premium??
What would the top speed be of a 2000 38ZX with Merc. 600sc's and Bravos on IMCO boxes???????????? I was thinking about 80-85mph........ Thanks for all the help guys!!! |

Re: 38 zx insurance
Anything over 470hp @prop(500hp) is a killer ....
My 38 ZR w/ 500efi's cost $1,250.00 annual no lay up.. Same boat just with 525's would be $ 3,400.00 ...and the 40 Skater i "was" considering is ...$crazy$ I use worldwide for everything- Bob Luellin has been a great help. Dave |
Re: 38 zx insurance
I just bought a 2006 39 Nor Tech V bottom with 525's and I live in Miami with no lay up. I am 33 years old and I pay $ 6,000.00 a year.
