1999 38zx parts
 

I'm trying to find some 38zx hull parts. I wanted to see if anybody out there has any idea where a wrecked one might be or where I might find the parts. Specifically im looking for the engine hatch hinges and the starboard/right side air intake cover that goes along the engine hatch on top of the hull, Its about six feet long. It appears to be the same on all 38zx's for 99-06 but ive been going around and around with donzi for weeks now and they just told me its not available any more. Why I have no idea. Its like pulling teeth to get ANYTHING out of them for some reason. I really cant believe how poor donzi customer service really is. But anyway if anybody can help if would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you heard right. If its over 5 years old, or you dont have a hull # you are out of luck... J

But its the same air intake all the way up to the 2006 38zx. Thats why I am really discouraged with donzi. If that the case I could have a brand new boat and not be able to get it.

And yea I do have the hull # and gave it to them but did not help either

I am not a dealer for them, but I do broker them & work on a lot of them with customization and performance upgrades. I have access to available parts, but I get the same grief if the boat is over 5 years old, even with a hin #.. Also it is usually verry slow in getting stuff from them. I for exapmle am waiting a few weeks for a part now. I personally have a Donzi myself. I love the boat but anything I need for it from them can be a headache... I dont even look to get parts for people anymore because it takes too long & too much aggrevation.. :) Jamie / Lakeside

Gordon: Give Charlene a call at 732-477-6157 she handles my parts with Donzi and we seem to have a lot of pull with them on getting parts. If she can't get them from Donzi for you no one can. being the Top Performance Dealer for Donzi they try to get us everything we need.

I completely understand what your saying. I feel bad to say what I think about their customer service but if somebody asks me about them I'll tell exactly what I think before they buy A donzi. But like I said it still baffles me that I cant get that part off of a 06 zx.... I do wanna say thanks for your input. At least I feel better Im not the only one.

Thanks Shanghied, I am trying another very large dealer right now and I will see if that helps any. The problem im finding is that these orders all go through the same person at donzi. At any rate ill will try your contact next for sure. Thanks again
