45ZX Pros and Cons?
 

Looking at 2001 45zx, Trip. 500's with Bravo's. I have read of a few people spinning these boats. It sounds more circumstantial than a common problem. Are these overall good boats? We will be test driving soon. What are some things to look for. Owner say's 75mph on GPS. Is these accurate? It is a lot of boat so I am approaching cautiously.

PERFECTMIX, JUST CURIOUS, DID YOU BUY THIS BOAT. I HAD TALKED TO THIS GUY I BELIEVE. PRICE SEEMED DEFINITELY RIGHT. I WAS CURIOUS THOUGH ON THE SWITCH OVER FROM FRESH WATER COOLED AND THE MOTOR THAT HE SAID HAD GOTTEN HOT AND HE HAD TO REPLACE. WILL IT GO TO LAKE MICHIGAN IF YOU DID BUY IT? HAMMER

Hammer, We looked at the boat and decided not to buy it. I was priced right but not exactly what we were looking for. The center engine was new(12hrs) I think one would be hard pressed to notice it ever had fresh water cooled system on it. It looked good.

Was it the one that's been at Bald Knob for the past few years? I saw them finally put it in the water the other day... figured someone was looking at it.

IT WAS NOT THE ONE FROM BALD KNOB. THE BOAT HE LOOKED AT WAS FROM OUT WEST IN ARIZONA I BELIEVE. I HAD A LONG CONVERSATION WITH THE SELLER AS WELL. I DID TALK TO BALD KNOB THOUGH ABOUT THE SAME 2001 UP THERE. AWESOME SETUP ON THE ONE FROM HERE IN IL BUT HE IS ON CRACK WITH THE PRICE. HE IS STILL SINGING THE "IT IS A NEW BOAT" SONG WHEN IT WILL WALK OFF THE LOT 5 YEARS OLD+ AND IT HAS NO GENERATOR ETC. AND WANTS 100K OVER THE EXACT SAME BOAT FROM OUT WEST. THE DEALER IN BALD KNOB SAID IT IS HIS PARTNER/SILENT DEALERSHIP PARTNER/ETC.'S BOAT AND HE EVEN SAID THAT THE PARTNER IS WAY HIGH. ANYWAY, MY .02
