Blown 496 Mag HO 2006 26zx
 

I know this is taboo for some people, but I did it anyway.. so :Whatever: :D

So far so good with my new 26zx. I finally got the engine done (496 Mag HO with a custom whipple set up, big big heat exchanger, auxillary oil cooler, etc, etc). I am still prop testing.. I am waiting for some 5 blades. I cant keep the 4 blades locked up well with the high x dimension & the new power. I grabbed about a solid 10mph with a 30p b1 & I still have throttle & torque. The 32p b1 still blows out, there is too much slippage with them. I think the 5 blade will do the trick. I may also go the route of one of Julie's custom cnc props after I do a bit more testing.. Once I get the prop hooked up for a bit It pulls quite well Yippie.. :D I cant wait to get in the 5 blades to try.. I just hope I get them to try before the docks come out up here.. I want to be all ready for next season..

As soon as I get a chance I will get the video clips together.. ;)

I think you will be fine. A good tune, watch your A/F Ratio and dont hold the hammer down all day and the bottom end will be fine. Did you upgrade the head gaskets? Are you running a 1.50 drive or a 1.65 ratio?

Thanks guys.. The drive is 1.50. The Hd gaskets & internals are stock. I plan to keep the rpm between 4800-5k.. :)
