'33zx 500hp-how fast???
Hi folks,
Anyone know how fast one of these rigs will run?? Thankx, mike |
I see consistent 85-87 mph on GPS in my 33 Daytona with stock 575sci's and Hydro P5-30's (stock). 83 mph with Bravo 1 32". I would expect you would see 75-80 depending upon the prop setup. love the boat, great combination of performance and comfort.

A non Daytona could flirt with 80 under the right conditions, a Daytona could see a bit over 80 in the right conditions.. ;)

Thanks for the input guys....horny Daytona mic....
What are these things like out of the hole accelerating??? The daytona has a lighter kevlar hull I presume? thankx mike |
Lakeside, those numbers with the 500's??
|
My dad's 33 w/500's will run in the lower 80's. I thought the advertised speed was 83-84 at sea-level.
|
My 2001 with 500's will see mid to upper 70's if you wring it's neck in salt water
|
Is the Daytona hull different ?
|
The daytona's are lighter & are composite hulls Kevlar composite). The non daytona's are all heavier & polyester/fiberglass layup. ;) Jamie

thanks verbi.
it's a heavy boat, which is one of the reason's it handles the rough so well. so far, i've had the best all around perf. with 5 blades. the 32" bravo's (32" bravo's may vary) blowout bad out of the hole, you have to baby it up. the P5's come out like a ski boat with minimal aeration. i saw about a 5mph faster cruise speed with the P5's and 4-5 easy mph faster top-end due to having more bite (more blade surface and less prop slip). i believe my owner's manual says the daytona weighs either 600 or 800 lb's less. i'd have to dig it up to be exact. |
