Somebody has GOT do do it!:party-smiley-004:

I just got back from a 90 mph ride in my 26ZX. I am thinking that the ZR would be a blast

It's an option for a 525 from the factory. If you got that option I believe it came with True Kplanes. I think 6's or very low 7's would be the biggest you would probably really want to run in it. The 525 should have the boat @ about high 70's to very low 80's, so I would think with a 600 is hp you would be in the high 80's & with more you get the picture. I dont know to be honest exactly what you would encounter with the power that you are asking about as I dont believe it has been done to date. I also cant tell you for certain how many are out there with 525's as the main power was & is a 496 mag Ho that usually has them running 68-72 mph in most waters.. :)

Hope that helps you.. ;) Jamie

Just asking because I love the sound of big HP...

If the 26zx will handle it, why shouldn't the ZR?

Hi Jamie, I have sold a few 27ZRs the 496/HO will run 72mph the 525 runs 80-81 mph and If I owned on I would throw a big motor engine in her the hull is a little more stable then the 26ZX, lower to the water and Kevlar hull, Donzi will most likely want you to sign waivers. The K-Planes would have to be changed to the larger Planes and I would go with a Stand off box. I could see the 27ZR hitting the Triple Digits mark.

You will see it. Maybe in the spring.

Some boats get too light in the ass end. I don't think that will be so with the ZR but I will find out. It has a lower profile and should be more stable. The 26ZX will break 100. I am getting close. Mine pulls pretty good to 95. It is still clipping off 0.5 mph intervals when I run out of sack. It is very stable to 85. I run mine to 90 or so a pretty good bit. It likes a little chop. On glass it slips around at 90 like your are running on marbles. With a chop it feels well planted unless it hits a bad side wake. If that happens then look out.

The zx is heavy & takes a good bit to push it as fast.. ;) Jamie
